Set your inner songwriter or poet FREE and construct a verse centred around the word PLAY in this competition for both adults and children for a chance to win 2x tickets to a festival event of your choice OR a box/set of LEGO.

If you’re stuck on what to write, we’ve given you a few ideas of words to include in your song verse/poem:

  • PLAY

  • PLAYFUL

  • CURIOUS

  • IMAGINATION

  • WONDER

  • GAMES

  • CREATIVITY

  • INSPIRE

  • MUSIC

As well as an example:

In a world where wonders come out to play,

With curious hearts, we dance and sway.

To submit your entry, snap a picture of your song/poem and share it with us on social media. Tag us on Instagram @acuriousagenda, and use the hashtag #ACuriousTownVerseCompetition so that we definitely see it. Alternatively, tear the verse page out of your programme and hand it to any member of the Curious Team. Remember to put your contact details on the page, in case your verse wins!

This extra activity allows you to explore your creativity and design your own Hastings dollhouse room by room. Although this activity is not part of the competition, it’s a fun task for both adults and children and you can even use your finished dollhouse to help inspire your song verse/poem!
