Your Weekly Curious Agenda

Kick start your year by using our Weekly Curious Agenda, adding a touch of curiosity into your everyday life…

Over at Curious HQ we’ve come up with some fun ways to explore your curiosity each day. Each day you’ll have a different activity to try and complete whether it takes 5 minutes or involves going on an adventure, you’ll have something to spark your creativity that day!

We’ve linked a couple printable versions at the bottom of the page so keep scrolling to find them.

Monday - Random Dive Challenge

Spend 5 minutes on an unplanned knowledge adventure! Click "Random Article" on Wikipedia, pick a random podcast episode you've never heard of, or find a short documentary that pops up unexpectedly. Just explore for those 5 minutes.

To repeat this challenge, each week choose a different platform (Wikipedia, YouTube, a podcast app, a streaming service) or a different starting point (e.g., search for "weird historical facts," "unusual animals," "mini-documentaries").

Tuesday - New Path Adventure

Take a slightly different route to a place you go often – maybe walk on the other side of the street, explore a different aisle in the shop, or use a path you usually ignore. Notice 3 things you've never seen before.

To repeat this challenge, each week pick a different familiar journey (e.g., to the postbox, a friend's house, a local park).

Wednesday - Sensory Sketch/Describe

Play a piece of music you've never heard before, or focus on a particular smell (e.g., a spice, a flower). For 5 minutes, try to sketch what it "looks" like, or write 3-5 descriptive words that capture its essence.

To repeat this challenge choose different music, smells, or even textures each time.

Thursday - Perspective Shift

Imagine seeing an area of your home, or part of your daily routine, through the eyes of an alien, or an animal, or a child. What would they find most curious?

To repeat this challenge pick a different "observer" (alien, pet, historical figure) and a different daily activity or object each week.

Friday - One Question Challenge

Ask someone you know (friend, family member, neighbour, barista) one question you wouldn't normally ask – something that genuinely sparks your interest about them, not just small talk.

To repeat this challenge, each week pick a different person, or a different type of question (e.g., "What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?", "What's a skill you'd love to learn?").

Weekend - Wonder Walk Challenge

Head out for a walk in your local area – whether it’s a park, a street you know well, or somewhere new! As you go, consciously look for specific things that spark your curious mind. For example, find: 5 yellow things, 5 artistic things,5 things of different textures, and 5 things that make you smile

To repeat this challenge, each weekend choose a new location or a new set of things to find. You can even add a competitive element by doing it with family or friends!
