Nutty Chocolate Banana No-Dairy Ice Cream

Too hot this summer? Cool down with this healthy sugar and dairy free ice cream recipe!

It doesn’t require an ice cream maker and is absolutely delicious, whilst also containing nutty and banana goodness!

Cooking time: 10 minutes preparing, freezing bananas minimum 3 hours or overnight.

Ingredients:

  • 3 bananas

  • Almond/Hazelnut/Coconut milk

  • Almond/Hazelnut/Peanut Butter

  • Cocoa powder

  • Cacao nibs or chocolate chips (optional)

Equipment:

  • Freezer

  • Blender or food processor

  • Knife

  • Chopping board

  • Freezer bag or pot

Method:

Chop up your bananas then place your bananas in a freezer bag or tub and freeze for 3 hours minimum or overnight.

Once ready, add all your ingredients, except for the cacao nibs or chocolate chips (if using), to your blender or food processor.

Blitz your ingredients. You will probably need to stop and stir in between. Add a dash of extra nut milk if needed.

If using cacao nibs or chocolate chips add them now and give it all a very quick pulse in your blender/food processor.

Now enjoy! If you want your ice cream a little more solid put it back in the freezer for 1-2 hours.

Get Curious:

Try making this with different nut butters and milks, or adding new flavours like crystalised ginger or raisins. What is your favourite combination?

This ice cream freezes for up to a month so you can make a batch in advance.
