Spring starts with a seed
We have made it through January & February! Now March is with us and has brought with it a bit of spring, wahoooo! It’s a great time engage with nature, and get outside, and encourage kids to do so too.
Plant some seeds on a sunny windowsill or in a greenhouse. Examples of great seeds to propogate at this time of year are chillis, radishes and cress.
Get curious and try a tiny experiment!
Plant seeds in different conditions or water them differently, and guess which will grow the best/fastest then work out why.
Other questions are;
Which sprouts first?
Which grows tallest?
Which insects visit?
Paint the plant pots
Get kids into planting by decorating the plant pots the seeds go into. Acrylic paint or posca pens are hardwearing & suitable for outdoor use (supervise little ones whilst using either of the above!)
