Curious Conkers
Conker season is here! We’ve collected some fun activities that use conkers so you can make the most out of Autumn this year. Keep reading to see what happens with just a touch of curiosity…
Playing Conkers!
To start off this list we knew we had to include the classic childhood game of Conkers!
To play this game all you need are conkers, string, and a drill. Start by drilling a hole through the middle of the conker, if you’re under the age of 16 then ask an adult to do this for you. Then thread the string through and tie a knot to keep it secure. Every person playing will need one themselves so make sure you have enough conkers for everyone!
Now here comes the fun part… one person will hold up their string and the other player will try and hit that persons conker using their own. Then take it in turns and see who can break the other persons first!
Autumnal Wreath!
We all know and love Christmas Wreaths, however we think that they should be made for Autumn as well!
You can use all things found on a nature walk, such as acorns, pine cones, and … CONKERS! These curious decorations are sure to bring some cozy vibes into your home.
Curious Crafts!
For those with younger kids, this is a great indoors activity which will keep them interested and having fun! Using things you find in nature in your crafts is a great way to have fun whilst not spending money. For this example we used cute conker animals to show you that with a little curiosity you can make anything!
